Character's Background

- Studio Ghibli, Inc is a Japanese Animation Studio founded in Tokyo in the year 1985. The studio has produced numerous works that have won many awards, with its most famous character called Totoro, from the 1988 film named My Neighbour Totoro. 

- The Very Hungry Caterpillar by American children's author and illustrator Eric Carle was published in 1969 with its first publication created in Japan by Kaisei-Sha Publishing Co., after the late president's admiration towards the picture book.

The book went on to sell 55 million copies worldwide and translated to 70 different languages.
