The Very Hungry Caterpillar comes in two attractive patterns - star and fruit; both of which are made of smooth polyester on both sides that is resistant to dirt and moisture.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by American children's author and illustrator Eric Carle was published in 1969 with its first publication created in Japan by Kaisei-Sha Publishing Co., after the late president's admiration towards the picture book.
